What People Are Saying

“Sensational! very informative, patient, great teaching style. Start where the student is, goes where you want to go. Great lesson plans but very flexible for your immediate needs. Denise was exceptional to work with. Very patient, very thorough with a cheerful personality. Helped me through a very difficult learning experience and made it fun and positive. Had a great impact on my work ability. Definitely a five star rating. Six if they had six stars.” - Brian H.

“Around 8 years ago I started losing my vision which resulted in me going totally blind. I was 60 years old and a Juvenile Judge. Coming to the realization that I would probably never play golf, tennis, or paddle ball anymore and never see the faces of my family again I desperately wanted to be able to continue in a profession I dearly love. Never have I worked with someone with such patience and willingness to help no matter how frustrated I became. Well starting with a client who couldn’t even type and did not grow up with a laptop Denise forever changed my life and helped me continue my career, thanks to Denise” - G. Pancol.

“As a disabled person, I have been able to work with my trainer in tech areas for the blind. Denise is highly skilled in this area and has a natural talent for working with the disabled/blind. I can with no hesitation recommend working with her” - Ronald W. MSSW, LCSW.

“Being a conventional older handicapped student, Denise made learning the new technologies much easier with her knowledge of product and her personality. I would recommend Denise for the training of any new technology” - Anthony C.

“If you are looking for someone to assist and teach you about assistive technology well, you have found her.
I have had the pleasure of learning and growing in my own education of assistive technology in the last 3 years from Denise Garzon. Denise is many things she is kind, caring, funny, smart, and an expert in her field if she doesn’t know the answer to a question she’ll find the answer, but, most of all Denise, is patient. It was definitely needed working with this old dog trying to learn new tricks, and I’m very happy to say I did learn new tricks. I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. Denise, thank you for all you did for me” - Alex V.

“I have really enjoyed working with Denise. She and I worked together for several months while I was in graduate school. She is an excellent instructor who takes the time to help her students and get to know them. Denise often went above and beyond to assist me in resolving accessibility issues with technology. She also taught me some valuable tricks to navigate traditionally visual software programs. Denise is very knowledgeable and outgoing, and I highly recommend working with her!” -Adrial B.

"Thank you so much for the time, effort & support given to my son. I wish more people were able to understand people with disabilities are people too. As a Mom who has been through a great deal, I was so over joyed with happiness to see such caring people working with him on a HOT HOT summer day. Went above & beyond to offer support when needed, including into the future. Thank you so much!" - Jane B.

“Denise has helped me so much over the course of the last year, she is very personable and willing to assist at a moment's notice. While also helping me to feel at ease anytime I would work with her, allowing me to work at my own pace, being patient and helpful when I was struggling” - Autumn P.

“Denise was a godsend to me. Since my disability and returning to college, she helped me learn technology and applications to help keep me on track so I didn't miss assignments or classes. She taught me skills using different learning styles, i.e. using an app to listen to my book instead of just reading it for better retention. She was kind and patient with me and had a gentle way of teaching. Even though Zac & I miss her, I know that she is invaluable in teaching someone needing to learn skills that are necessary to adapt and apply new ways of learning and applying technology to their college education!” - Lori T. & Zac (the doggy)

“I would love to say that Denise has gotten me out of a jam many times when it comes to technology. I would totally recommend her to family and friends” - Savannah W.

"I met Denise in the fall of 2017 when I first started at Ball State. She has made more personal impacts on my life than assistive technology. Autism is my primary disability, but I also suffer from anxiety. My first semester in college was a nightmare at times because it was my first time being on my own without my parents getting on my case about getting my schoolwork done. In fact, I had to learn my lesson for my first three semesters! In the spring of 2019, I finally began applying myself more and I crazily improved as a student. Denise helped me improve and realize my potential. I've continued to learn about myself through my life in college. No one chooses anxiety but I've learned better ways to cope with it for the rest of my life. Denise has inspired me to remember that I will be happy and my fear of the past and future will be at rest if I take one day at a time." -Lauren R.

“Denise is very polite, and prompt, if my daughter had a question, or if there was a problem, she wouldn't have to wait long for an answer, and she helped my daughter to understand how everything worked, explaining it in a way that was easy to comprehend” - Lea Ann P.
